Lars Lövgren


Lars has worked in the financial markets since graduating in economics from Uppsala University in 1984. After university he joined a finance company, Finansor, where he worked with business development and corporate sales. In 1986 he moved on to Götabanken, involved in fixed income sales and trading. His responsibilities were gradually extended and in 1990 he was appointed head of the Fixed Income department. 1994 Lars was appointed head of trading and deputy General Manager at Nordbanken’s (today Nordea) office in Hong Kong.

The following year he joined Skandia Insurance Company Ltd in Stockholm as Head of its treasury vehicle Skandia Capital AB, in 1999 Lövgren was appointed Group Treasurer at Skandia, a post that he held until Oct 2001. After that he joined the hedge fund industry, he became the CEO of a jointly Skandia/DNB owned hedge fund start-up company. Lars today holds the position as Head of Hedge Funds in DNB Asset Management, it includes responsibility for external hedge fund investments through fund of hedgefunds and the overall responsibility for hedgefunds managed internally.
