Stockholm (www.HedgeFonder.nu) – Merrant Alpha Select, a fund of hedge funds run by independent Swedish firm manages Merrant, has the HFMWeek nominated for the award “Best newcomer fund of hedge funds.”

Merrant Alpha Select was in 2010 awarded “Best New fund of hedge funds in Europe” by Hedge Fund Review and was nominated for “Best New fund of hedge funds” invested by the hedge.
Merrant Alpha Select USD-Class gave a return of +0.61% and USD-class was up 1.01% in March 2011. HFRI Fund of Fund Index fell -0.11%.
The fifth annual HFMWeek Awards will be held in London on 26 May 2011. The event will reward hedge funds and funds of hedge funds that outperformed their competitors in the volatile markets that have been in the past year.
